Dernier album d’halloween<\/a>, m\u00eame si nous sommes le 1er novembre ! Eh oui, comme je vais mettre les nouvelles chroniques en pause durant 2 semaines, je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re prolonger les festivit\u00e9s. Ce qui m’a attir\u00e9 chez Mephisto ? Le fait qu’il soit un chat noir. Et que sont r\u00e9cit soit port\u00e9 par Bernard Villiot, que j’ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 lu gr\u00e2ce au Souffleur de r\u00eaves<\/a> et au Vent taquin<\/a>. C’est un auteur que j’appr\u00e9cie beaucoup, mais aussi une maison d’\u00e9dition que j’aime. Petit suppl\u00e9ment : je d\u00e9couvre l’illustrateur Antoine Guillopp\u00e9<\/a>. Et comme souvent, je vais me le noter pour d\u00e9couvrir sa bibliographie.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Des illustrations fabuleuses<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lorsque je dis que je vais d\u00e9couvrir tout ce qu’\u00e0 fait un illustrateur, c’est \u00e9videmment toujours bon signe au niveau de ses dessins. Ici, Mephisto est un chat qui se balade dans un monde fait de noir et blanc. C’est inhabituel, et j’ai ador\u00e9 les jeux de contrastes dans le graphisme. La construction est de celle que j’appr\u00e9cie aussi : les illustrations sont toujours \u00e0 droite et le texte reste sur la page de gauche. J’aime cette s\u00e9paration qui permet d’appr\u00e9cier chaque \u00e9l\u00e9ment \u00e0 sa juste valeur, comme dans Le voleur d’enfants<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Evidemment, le texte m’a \u00e9galement touch\u00e9. Mephisto est un chat noir, qui vit une vie de rejet\u00e9. L’album permet de contrer cette id\u00e9e re\u00e7ue du chat noir, qui porte malheur, tr\u00e8s discriminante. C’est aussi une belle remise en question de ce que nous avons fait des chats, et comment nous avons \u00e9rig\u00e9s des classes sociales m\u00eame dans la sph\u00e8re de nos animaux de compagnie : les chats errants et les chats domestiqu\u00e9s. Sauf que l’\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me a besoin d’eux, notamment dans les villes b\u00e2tis par les humains o\u00f9 les rongeurs prolif\u00e8rent. Mephisto permet d’apprendre aux enfants l’utilit\u00e9 de chaque \u00eatre vivant dans notre environnement. Et c’est encore une fois une tr\u00e8s belle r\u00e9ussite de Bernard Villiot !
